Libby’s Heritage Chickens and Hatchery is a small scale, family owned business located in the Wollondilly Shire of New South Wales. We pride ourselves in producing high quality, unvaccinated, heritage breed chickens for you to enjoy in your backyard coop or on your farm and have been breeding chickens for over 20 years.
Previously, we have had great success in showing our birds but we decided to move away from showing chickens to supplying you with quality sexed chicks for you raise and enjoy.
We have everything you need right here to succesfully raise your chicks up, into your ultimate dream flock. If you are worried about getting roosters, don't be, we have you covered with a rooster return policy as well.

HATCHERY
At our on farm hatchery we hatch our eggs fortnightly in breeding season and three weekly in off season. All day olds are sexed and ready for pick up at farm gate OR we offer delivery to Sydney Metro and Canberra (drop off spots).

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer delivery, and how much does it cost?
Yes, we offer pick up from farm gate and delivery in Sydney METRO ensuring your chickens and eggs arrive safely and on time.
Delivery fees vary depending on your pick up location, You can view exact delivery costs during checkout before completing your order.
Can I pay and pick up on delivery?
Absolutely! Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email with details and we will pop them aside for you on hold for 2 days. If you need the chickens held for over 2 days an additional charge of $5 per bird will apply.
Pick up from the Farm Gate
You can pick up from the farm gate by appointment and pay Cash On Delivery OR PAY ONLINE for all chooks. Select the chooks and goods that you want so that we can arrange ready for your collection.

What is your rooster return policy?
When purchasing chicks from us we like to give you a reassurance that you won’t be stuck with a mistake so we have put in place a rooster return policy.
If your egg laying beauty ends up cock-a-doodle-doing please make contact with us and we will take your boy off your hands and give you a refund or a credit towards another chick/chicken to the value of the purchase price of the bird you originally bought. E.g. You purchase a day old for $25, you return the rooster and your get a refund or a credit to the value of $25.
What do I need to raise my chickens from day olds?
Chicks up to 5-6 weeks of age will need a brooder to keep them warm but from 7 weeks on you can start the transition process to you coop by removing the heat with your babies being able to go outside at 8 weeks of age.
You can access The Inside Coop Monthly Membership for $25+GST - this will give you full support in raising your chooks. We have a course that outlines how to look after day old chooks and what you will need along the way .
How can I pay?
For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards for secure online payments. We also offer COD checkout, allowing you to pick up your stock and pay when at farm gate - by appointment.
All transactions on our website are encrypted and secure to protect your personal information.
